Hi! I’m Bryan Cantwell, and I keep and breed Boa Constrictors. I really love my boas, and I treat them like children! I live in my boa room, so I am able to monitor them 24/7, and give them the best care possible (plus my bedroom was the only place Patrick would let me put the stack–o-racks…).

As you can see from the pictures, I’ve been interested in snakes pretty much all of my life. Mom never let me bring them in the house… So it wasn’t until college that I was able to start my collection. I got Gypsy, my first boa, in the fall of 2002, and she was my first step on the slippery slope! From that one boa, the collection is now up in the 20’s, and I still want more! (Sound familiar?)

I keep all of my boas in custom plastic caging, including racks from Jason Hess at Jason's Jungle and Casey Hulse of Nature’s Spirit. My 4 foot cages come from Jeff Ronne at Boaphile Plastics, all with custom locks and installed flexwatt. Temps are controlled with double Ranco thermostats, and monitored with a Raytek MT4 infrared thermometer. The Raytek is my most relied on piece of equipment, and worth every penny! An infrared thermometer is priceless for boa keepers, it lets you monitor temps all over the cages, and the room as well! You cannot go wrong with one of these. Highly recommended! I also keep detailed feed & shed records for all of my animals, which is essential in keeping up to date on who’s been doing what, and keeping up the overall health of each boa. Plus it’s much easier than trying to remember all of that for over 20 animals!

I have met many outstanding people in this business, and quite a few of them have been around much longer than I have. I have learned quite a bit, and strive to apply that knowledge in the care and breeding of my animals. We stand behind all the animals that we produce, and will provide support long after the sale, and continue to show people how great boas are, and what wonderful pets they make!
